Responsibilities:
 
As the Sales Team Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of specialist niche travel agents to deliver a concierge-level of service to their customers, from the moment they enquire about their dream holiday until they return home with unforgettable memories.
 
You will lead the team in achieving sales targets, maintaining the highest call quality, and nurturing leads to convert potential customers into loyal clients.   
  • Lead and inspire a team of specialist travel agents to achieve individual and team sales targets while upholding our commitment to customer satisfaction and service excellence
  • Identify areas for improvement and provide coaching and mentoring to team members, fostering their professional growth and enhancing their expertise in niche travel markets
  • Ensure that every customer receives personalised attention and a tailor-made travel experience that aligns with their desires and interests
  • Oversee the lead management process, ensuring timely and effective follow-ups to convert leads into sales and maintain a robust pipeline of potential customers
  • Proactively develop, manage, motivate, and support the travel agents, setting smart targets to ensure personal and company goals are achieved
  • Conduct regular 1-2-1 meetings, provide welfare support, and implement performance management strategies
  • Manage the company's overall customer experience strategy, ensuring we deliver world-class service. This includes optimising Contact Centre processes to support the customer journey and implementing a Sales through Service strategy to achieve maximum profit. Improve the company's online reputation via Trust Pilot reviews and promptly address and resolve customer issues in line with ABTA guidelines and the Package Travel Directive
  • Assist with new agent onboarding, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary tools and knowledge to excel in their roles
  • Oversee day-to-day operational functions, including lead allocation, rota management, holidays, and absence management
  • Manage the company's Out Of Duty Requests (OODR) function efficiently
  • Stay informed about the latest travel industry trends and product launches
  • Attend industry enrichment events and overseas product experience trips to enhance your expertise
 
 
Experience required:
  • Enthusiastic with a passion and experience leading teams within travel industry is essential
  • Positive approach to problem-solving with a can-do attitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A natural communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
  • A solid understanding of basic mathematics
  • Well-travelled individuals with good working knowledge of luxury and cruise travel
  • Customer-focused with a relentless approach to providing our customers with a world-class pre- and post-booking experience
  • An innovative and creative individual
  • Homeworking experience
  • Applicants who have a proven track record of managing a sales team
